Who operates Roamvia

This policy covers Roamvia for iOS, operated by Batuhan Tomo (Rekl0w). Effective date: 11 September 2026. Privacy contact: batuhan.tomo@gmail.com.

02

Your walks stay on your device

Precise walking routes, recording times, distance, elapsed time, discovered grid tiles and collections are stored in a local SQLite database. There is no Roamvia account or atlas server. We do not send these records to Google AdMob or RevenueCat as advertising targets, analytics events or purchase attributes.

Location is used for walks you start and to centre the map. An active recording can continue with the screen locked. Pause or finish the walk to stop recording, or change location permission in iPhone Settings. Roamvia does not request Always location access. Monthly and yearly Plus reports are calculated on the device from completed walks.

Preferences and a small ad-frequency timestamp are kept on the device. Roamvia does not use a separate product analytics, crash-reporting or session-replay service. The advertising SDK has its own diagnostics as described below.

Personal exploration goals are stored with your atlas. Progress and period comparisons are calculated on this iPhone from completed walks. They do not require an account or transmit your walking records to the developer.

03

Apple Maps

Apple MapKit retrieves map content from Apple and may process map requests, device information and location according to Apple's Maps privacy terms. Map requests are separate from the locally stored atlas. New map areas may need internet; Roamvia does not promise downloaded offline maps. Local recording can continue with a reliable GPS signal when network service is unavailable.

04

Roamvia Plus

Plus is an optional, one-time, non-consumable App Store purchase for an ad-free experience, atlas films, personal exploration goals and exploration reports. Apple handles payment; Roamvia does not receive payment card details. RevenueCat receives transaction and purchase history, an app-specific pseudonymous identifier, platform and storefront information to validate and restore access and provide purchase reporting. Network requests also expose an IP address to the receiving provider.

We do not supply your name, email, custom account identifier, route records or advertising identifier to RevenueCat. Automatic attribution identifier collection is disabled and no advertising-attribution integration is configured. Verified Plus users receive no ads. Unknown purchase status suppresses advertising while verification is unavailable. Restore purchases is available on the Plus screen.

05

Advertising and consent

The standard experience uses Google AdMob. An already loaded interstitial can appear when you close the summary of a newly saved walk. It does not appear on the first saved walk, during walking, onboarding or a purchase flow. A qualifying walk has at least two recorded minutes and 100 metres. Displays are separated by at least five minutes. An unavailable ad never blocks exploration.

Google's advertising SDK may process IP-derived approximate location, device identifiers, ad views and interactions, product interactions, crashes, performance and other diagnostic data for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and service improvement. Non-personalized advertising still involves data processing. Your precise walking routes and atlas are never supplied to the advertising SDK.

On an eligible screen after the introduction, Google's User Messaging Platform checks regional consent requirements. A required consent form is shown before Apple's separate tracking permission. Declining tracking or consent does not remove walking or atlas features. Personalized ads are requested only when Apple's tracking permission and the available regional signals allow them. Otherwise Roamvia explicitly requests non-personalized ads, or skips advertising if consent cannot be verified. Regional US privacy signals are handled conservatively with non-personalized requests; Google's SDK also applies its regional restrictions.

06

Your privacy choices

In Roamvia Settings, Advertising privacy choices appears when Google requires an entry point for your current region and consent state. Use it to review or withdraw regional choices. If the entry is absent, the full privacy policy is still accessible from Privacy & maps. Finish or discard a current walk before opening an advertising consent form.

Manage Apple's tracking permission in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Roamvia checks permission before showing an eligible ad and discards a personalized ad if permission has been withdrawn. Google Ad Settings also provides advertising controls. Privacy choices are available without purchasing Plus.

07

Sharing and backups

The share card contains distance, duration and new tile count. It excludes the route, coordinates, place names and date. You choose whether and where to share it using the iOS share sheet. Text or attachments you add can still reveal where you were.

Plus atlas films are created locally from the cells revealed by saved walks. Their shape can reveal places you visited. Films contain a title you choose, cell counts and optionally visible dates; dates are off by default. Street labels and GPS location metadata are not added. Review the film and choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. No film is automatically uploaded to Roamvia, RevenueCat or advertisers. Temporary films are stored in the app cache; films older than 24 hours are removed the next time a film is exported, and erasing or restoring the atlas removes temporary films. Shared copies remain with their recipients.

Local backup exports contain precise routes, dates and exploration goal settings. They are not encrypted by Roamvia. Store them somewhere you trust. The atlas database is excluded from automatic cloud device backup; use Export local backup before changing phones or removing the app. Restoring a checked backup replaces the local atlas and goals. Older backups without goal settings clear existing goals. Copies you export, save or share are controlled by you and the receiving service. Temporary exports may remain in the app's cache until replaced or removed by the system.

08

Retention and deletion

Local walks remain until you delete them or uninstall the app. Delete an individual walk to remove its route and tiles uniquely attributable to it, or use Erase all walks to clear the atlas, exploration goals and temporary atlas films. Export a backup first if needed. Erasing the atlas preserves preferences and does not remove copies saved or shared elsewhere.

Deleting local data or uninstalling is not a request to cancel or erase an Apple purchase or provider-held advertising and purchase records. Providers retain information under their own service, security, accounting and legal policies. Contact us about information we control; avoid sending a location backup unless it is necessary for a specific support request.

09

Support, security and rights

If you choose to email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachment. We use correspondence to respond and retain it as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations. Do not include payment credentials or precise location history unless necessary.

Roamvia uses iOS storage protections and providers' encrypted network connections. No storage or transmission is risk-free. Providers may process information outside your country under their own safeguards. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to processing or withdraw consent. Contact batuhan.tomo@gmail.com; you may also contact your local data-protection authority.

Roamvia is a general walking exploration app, not directed to children. It does not ask for age or health information and is not a medical or navigation safety service. Contact us if a child has supplied personal information through support. Material policy changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
