Scope

This policy explains information handling in Warrenta for iOS. Warrenta is a local-first purchase vault. It does not require an account, connect to a bank, operate a Warrenta receipt backend, or include a standalone product-analytics service.

Information that stays only on your device is not available to the operator. Apple, RevenueCat, and Google may process limited information for platform purchases, entitlement delivery, consent-gated advertising, measurement, security, fraud prevention, and related operations as described below.

02

On-device data

Warrenta stores receipt images, product photos, coverage documents, entered purchase details, recognized receipt text, return and warranty dates, tags, notes, local summaries, and generated Claim Kits in the app's local container for app functionality. Text recognition runs on the device. Warrenta does not send receipt files or recognized text to a Warrenta server.

Quick Actions and widgets use the Warrenta App Group to exchange local navigation requests and deadline summaries. Widget details are privacy-redacted by default. iOS backups may include app-container data according to your Apple backup settings.

03

Camera and Photos

Warrenta requests camera access when you choose to scan a paper receipt and Photos access when you choose images. It does not scan your library in the background. Imported files are copied into Warrenta-managed storage so the app can preserve its own record. Deleting a Warrenta-managed copy does not delete an original Photos item or an export saved elsewhere.

04

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Warrenta asks iOS for notification permission from a deliberate in-app action and schedules local return or warranty reminders. Warrenta has no remote-notification backend. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings and edit, resolve, or delete a deadline in Warrenta.

05

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and payment credentials. Warrenta does not receive your card or bank details. RevenueCat provides product availability, purchase, entitlement, restore, and limited offline-entitlement functionality for Warrenta Pro.

Warrenta configures RevenueCat without a Warrenta account, name, email address, or custom profile. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous App User ID and may process Apple receipt data, purchase history, transaction and entitlement state, device or operating-system information, and SDK diagnostics to provide the service and prevent fraud. Receipt images, recognized text, and purchase-vault records are not sent to RevenueCat.

06

Advertising

Eligible free users may see one Google interstitial only after a purchase record has safely persisted and become visible, with at least five minutes between eligible presentations. Warrenta has no banner, rewarded, or app-open ads. Active Pro users do not receive ad requests.

Warrenta uses Google's User Messaging Platform. On each relevant launch after onboarding, UMP updates consent information and may show Google's certified European regulations message in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. The form provides consent, refusal, and manage-options choices. When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, it appears under Warrenta Settings so the form can be reopened.

Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission is separate from Google's form. From version 1.0.0 (6), Warrenta requests it on Home after onboarding, once any required Google form has closed and the app is active. No receipt save is required. Earlier builds considered it after a saved receipt. It is never requested during onboarding or over another permission. Personalized delivery is eligible only when applicable Google choices allow it and Apple tracking permission is authorized. Refusal, partial consent, denial, restriction, an error, or any uncertain state explicitly falls back to non-personalized treatment when Google still permits an ad request. Google may instead provide limited or technical delivery, return no fill, or permit no request. Warrenta silently skips the ad and never limits core features.

Google may process IP-derived coarse location, device or app identifiers including the advertising identifier when authorized, advertising data, product interactions, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostics for ad delivery, eligible personalization, frequency limits, reporting, security, fraud prevention, and SDK operation. UMP processes consent status and privacy choices. Non-personalized or limited advertising does not mean no Google data processing. Device ID is disclosed as tracking because authorized users can enable personalized cross-company advertising. Warrenta never uses another identifier to work around an Apple denial.

You can reopen Google choices from Warrenta Settings when UMP requires that option. Apple tracking permission can be changed independently in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Refusing or revoking either choice does not remove access to saving, scanning, importing, viewing, exporting, editing, or deleting records. Active Pro removes all ads, preloads, and unnecessary ad-related prompts once known.

07

Support messages

If you email support, the operator receives the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Do not send passwords, Apple credentials, payment details, or unredacted sensitive receipts unless they are essential to your request. Support correspondence is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, protect the service, resolve a dispute, or meet legal obligations.

08

Export and deletion

App-controlled records remain locally until you edit or delete them. Warrenta lets you view, share, export, and delete Warrenta-managed records. Deletion removes associated local database entries, scheduled reminder identifiers, and Warrenta-managed file copies. It cannot remove files you previously exported, original Photos items, Apple transaction records, or information retained independently by service providers.

Deleting Warrenta removes app-container data subject to normal iOS and backup behavior. Contact the operator for applicable privacy requests concerning support correspondence; there is no Warrenta account or receipt server to search.

09

Service providers

Apple, RevenueCat, and Google may process information in countries other than your own under their terms, safeguards, and privacy policies.

Children

Warrenta is a general-audience purchase utility and is not directed to children. It does not ask for or fabricate an age and sends an unspecified age-treatment state rather than claiming that a particular user is an adult, teenager, or child. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an optional support message, contact the operator.

11

Security

Warrenta uses iOS app storage and platform security controls, but no storage method is risk-free. Protect your device, review what you export, and keep independent copies of proof you cannot afford to lose.

12

Changes

This policy may change when Warrenta's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the latest published version.
